Facilities

The hotel is a gracious old building dating back to the late 1800's. The main bar adjoins the dinning area and terrace with superb views of the Clarence River. The front beer garden overlooks the gardens of Memorial Park and has sweeping river views. There is plenty of seating and there is always a cool breeze during the warmer months.

The terrace is a great vantage point to observe the spectacular mass departure of the flying fox colony from the Susan Island nature reserve at dusk each evening during the summer months. It is also a great view point to watch one of the many events held on the river, from rowing to water-ski racing to power boating.

We do not have a swimming pool, but the river is safe for swimming, fishing and all other water sports. There is a boat ramp directly in front of The Crown, and easy river access. We have a large parking area so boat trailers are not a problem, and there is ample space for the kids to run around and play.

MEALS:

• All meals are served in the dining area.
• A blackboard menu is available for lunch and dinner with daily specials and children's meals also available. The Crown is not open for dinner Sunday nights.
• Breakfast is available from Tuesday to Friday from 7am and then again on Sunday from 7:30am. Breakfast on Saturday and Monday is only by prior arrangement.
